I’ve been gone for a few days. Sorry, babes. My country’s been hit by severe flooding. I’m okay, but I’ve been following the news, and I feel terrible for the people getting absolutely fucking battered by it. And honestly, I blame our weather agency’s carelessness for how bad things have got.
Fuck. Don’t get me started.
Anyway. Come sit down. Let’s get back to our usual bullshit.
Love. Of course.
People used to ask me, “Is this person my soulmate?”
Now it’s, “Have I found the right person yet?”
Sounds like the same question, doesn’t it? But that little “yet” is doing a lot of fucking work.
Like, is this one good enough to stop looking? Or should I keep going in case there’s a better one somewhere?
Sometimes we’re scared of choosing wrong. Sometimes the relationship we’re in just isn’t giving us what we want.
But babes. Before asking whether someone is what you want, do you actually KNOW what you want?
I’m not trying to shit on anyone’s romantic little dreams. But I don’t believe there’s someone born specifically to fit every corner of your life, who turns up one day and suddenly love is easy forever.
Together at last. No more problems. Roll credits.
Bitch, please.
And couples who’ve been together for years haven’t necessarily found their textbook soulmate either.
A lot of the ones I’ve seen just know themselves. They know what matters to them. What they can live with. What they absolutely fucking can’t. And the person beside them works for them.
So they’re not constantly looking at someone else’s relationship and wondering why theirs doesn’t look like that.
“This is enough for me” doesn’t automatically mean, “Fine, I’ll accept a miserable fucking relationship.”
Sometimes it means you know what you need, and you have it. You don’t need every single thing some romantic lead in a drama has to offer.
That man has a fucking script, babes.
Someone wrote his apology for him. Yours is going to have to come up with his own.
But WAIT.
Don’t take “understanding” and “acceptance” and turn them into reasons to put up with absolutely anything.
Someone hitting you? Controlling your life? Gambling until your life goes to shit along with theirs?
You do not have to stay and prove how much you love them. And fixing their entire fucking character is not your job.
Can people change? Yes.
But THEY have to want to change. And then they have to actually do something about it. Consistently.
You can watch what they do. You don’t have to gamble your whole fucking life on, “One day, my love will make them a better person.”
Anyway. Where was I?
Right. Love.
It isn’t just destiny or whatever the fuck. It’s what the two of you actually do once you’re together.
Do you understand yourself? Can you talk to each other? Is there respect? When shit happens, do you deal with it together?
Or is one person doing all the fucking work?
Even if I compare your charts and tell you you’re meant to be together, that doesn’t mean you can both sit back and do fuck all.
In astrology, there are still planetary transits that put pressure on the relationship. Tests keep coming. Things you have to face that show you more about yourselves and each other.
And when that happens, what are you going to do?
Listen? Be honest? Own your shit and work through it together?
That part is yours to do, babes.
Being meant for each other doesn’t mean you’ll get through every test. If neither of you looks after the relationship, you can still fucking break up.
I’ve seen it plenty of times.
Meanwhile, some people whose charts look like a whole fucking obstacle course when it comes to love actually take really good care of their relationships.
From what I’ve seen, the shit they’ve been through has taught them something.
They’re more careful. They think about how their partner feels. They don’t just assume, “Well, this person loves me, so obviously they’ll always be here.”
They know the relationship needs looking after. So they look after it.
So, “Have I found the right person yet?”
Babes. Don’t make me answer that for you. Hahahaha.
Ask yourself.
Can you actually be yourself around this person? Do they respect you? Do you want the same things where it matters?
And the bits that don’t quite work—can you talk about them and actually make changes? Both of you?
Also, please work out the difference between something you LIKE and something you NEED.
You like being fussed over? Lovely. So do plenty of people.
But someone knowing exactly how to make you feel special doesn’t mean they’re fucking faithful.
If faithfulness is what you need, look at that too. Don’t get so distracted by the sweet talk that you forget to check for the thing you said mattered.
Be clear with yourself. What are you actually looking for?
If something you really need isn’t there, you’re allowed to leave. You don’t have to wait for them to do something evil so you can justify it.
But if the important things are there, and you both keep showing up for the relationship, maybe you don’t need to spend the whole fucking time wondering whether there’s someone better.
For me, the right person is someone you can see clearly. You know what they’re actually like, beyond the version you’ve made up in your head.
And you still want to choose them.
They choose you too—and you can see it in how they treat you.
That’s what I’d look at, babes.
The chart isn’t going to do that shit for either of you.
